If there were a leadership yearbook, what would your yearbook superlative be and why?

I work in San Jose Calfornia for Santa Clara County in the District Attorney’s. I have worked for many years and a single representative in our office and now I have 6 or 7 stewards and I am Chief Steward. So I guess I would say I am the “Best recruiter of other leaders”.

What is one of your proudest leadership moments during the past year and why? Feel free to share more than one.

I have grown my Leadership Steward in leaps and bounds to 6 or 7 in an office where an elected official work’s and he is “god”.

I’ve worked as a negotiator and CAT team member and now delegate. I am proud to say that I represent my office because they do recognize me when I am done with negotiations.

Looking ahead to this year, what do you want to be the next step in your development as a leader? How will that step help our movement for economic and racial justice?

I would like to share stories of what I’ve heard here that are or will be building their unions global wide. I want to hold meetings to try and build more momentum in the office.

Anything else you would like to add?

I am proud to be a leader and will continue to move forward even stronger.
