If there were a leadership yearbook, what would your yearbook superlative be and why?

Bridge Builder – I’ve been able to widen our local’s circle of influence among members by utilizing social capital engendered through authenticity and sincerity of purpose.

What is one of your proudest leadership moments during the past year and why? Feel free to share more than one.

Organizing and mobilizing chapter members to fight against and beating back a negative change management wanted to make in our workplace. When management offered a settled they said “We heard you loud and clear”. Boom!!!

Looking ahead to this year, what do you want to be the next step in your development as a leader? How will that step help our movement for economic and racial justice?

I would like to grow my knowledge of the labor movement from a historical perspective so that I may help to educate new members, specifically millennials who are largely unaware of the importance of the labor movement and its greater societal benefits on the micro and macro level. Historical knowledge will help to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past and help our local to return to/ or remain member driven.
