What is one of your proudest leadership moments during the past year and why? Feel free to share more than one.

One of his favorite moments is when he developed his chief steward, Marissa, into a leader. She didn’t know anything about the union but through their conversations about the contracts, COPE, and other things. As he developed her into a leader, she’s now developing other people into leaders which he feels is making the world a better place.

Looking ahead to this year, what do you want to be the next step in your development as a leader? How will that step help our movement for economic and racial justice?

He talked about his work recruiting other leaders. Because he’s being viewed as a leader he has more opportunities to accomplish more. He loves being a leader. His father is proud of him and his role as a leader. He’s never really had that relationship with his father before.
